Murder in Play by Simon Brett

14-15 September 2018

Boris Smolensky is staging a decidedly budget version of the play Murder at Priorswell Manor and the cast are definitely more 'has been' than 'yet to come'. More concerned with their egos than the performance, relations within the troupe are decidedly frosty and then Boris's wife, Renee, is murdered on stage, upstaging the stage murder of Mr Papadopoulous. Hamlet it certainly isn't, but Simon Brett's hilarious take on the play-within-a-play-within-a-play genre (count them) has the audience guessing right until the final scene.
